The Game
Thanks Zhanna, I am very happy you liked it - Translating, or transforming, the bard songs has been interesting, an attempt to bridge different traditions and languages, and by and large I find that people respond to these songs very well, some more than others - I can see why it would sound surreal to you, since you know the originals - For English-speakers, it’s a completely new experience, and I believe these songs deserve to live in English - Of course, like I said, I had to take some liberties with the form in order to preserve the spirit, and that in itself is a fascinating creative process - Anyway, thanks for the kind words, and if you wish, you can listen to some more of my oroginal songs on the website
Mika
Russian is fine, the reason I am using English is my keyboard has no Russian letters - I like it that you listen to the songs one at a time - That is the best way - This morning I plucked some huge ripe figs from a neighbors tree - They are perfect, sweet and juicy - You eat one, and it’s pure honey - Eat two, and you get a stomach ache

One at a time,
